Attention New Milford residents and book lovers near and far—the clock is ticking! The Friends of the New Milford Public Library are hosting their Annual Summer Book Sale at New Milford High School from July 11 to 13, and this will be their final sale for at least two years due to upcoming library construction.
This is more than just a sale—it’s a final opportunity to stock your shelves affordably before a long pause in this beloved community tradition.
Event Schedule:
- Thursday, July 11: Early Bird Hour (9–10 a.m.) for $5 admission; free entry from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, July 12: Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, July 13: Final clearance from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—all books half price!
With thousands of donated books in excellent condition—spanning fiction, nonfiction, children’s titles, cookbooks, and more—there’s something for every reader at every age. The Friends’ message is simple but urgent: “Think ahead and STOCK up!”
Don’t let this literary farewell pass you by. Support your library and fill your home with stories while you still can:
